Product Introduction

This Mask Flame Retardant Tester is mainly used to test the combustion performance of medical masks after they are exposed to flame at a certain linear speed. It is a special test instrument for the flame retardant performance of medical masks. It is also used to determine the flame retardant properties of woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, coated products, laminated products, etc., such as continued combustion, smoldering, and carbonization tendencies.

Flammability testing procedures evaluate the flammability of medical textiles, including masks, surgical gowns, and curtains. Test methods are designed to comply with 16 CFR Part 1610. This test is required by ASTM F2100 (Standard Specification for Material Properties for Medical Masks) to ensure that all masks meet the requirements for Class 1 flammability. 510(k) filing standards also require testing. In addition to flammability testing, Nelson Labs can perform all ASTM F2100 tests.

Standards

GB 19083-2010: Technical requirements for medical protective face shields.

YY0469-2011: Surgical Mask.

GB2626-2006: Respiratory protective equipment -- Non-powered air purifying particle respirators -- 6.15 Flammability

BS EN136-1998: Respiratory Protective Devices. Full face mask. Requirements, tests, markings

Woking Principle

When medical masks are accidentally exposed to flames, their flame retardant properties are directly related to the safety of medical personnel. The flame retardancy of masks is one of the important physical indicators to measure the quality of medical masks. The instrument is tested by mounting the mask sample on the headmold sample holder in simulated actual use. The mask with head mold sweeps the igniter at a certain linear speed at a constant flame height, observes the burning of the mask, and records the continued burning and smoldering time to judge whether the mask is qualified.

Product Features

* The mask fixture is a metal head model, which can fully simulate the actual use state of the mask.
* The burner is equipped with a combustible gas interface such as propane (liquefied gas).
* Height adjustable of the burner.
* Automatic timed positioning of the burner.
* The surface of the burner inlet pipe is covered with fireproof pipe, which is resistant to high temperature of 1300 °C to ensure the safety of the experiment.
* Automatically record the actual burning time and flame retardant time, and display it digitally.
* Adopt high-quality motor, the instrument runs smoothly.
* The surface of the instrument is made of 304 stainless steel, which is durable and has a neat and clean appearance.
