INQUIRY

UV-Vis spectrophotometer is a laboratory instrument that measures how much ultraviolet (UV) and visible light a substance absorbs, using this data to determine its concentration, purity, or other properties by analyzing the electronic transitions of molecules, crucial in chemistry, biotech, and pharma for quality control and research. It works by passing light through a sample in a cuvette, detecting the light that passes through (transmittance) or is absorbed, and plotting this against wavelength (usually 190-1100 nm) to create a spectrum.
