Product Introduction

Inverted Metallurgical Microscope, a special type of metallurgical microscope that, by inverting the positions of the objective lens and the stage, allows for high-magnification observation of the microstructure (such as grain size, phase distribution, and inclusions) of the surface or cross-section of materials such as metals and alloys.

Application

It is widely used in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical manufacturing, and other fields for metal material quality inspection, microstructure analysis, and failure analysis, helping to determine the correlation between material properties (such as strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance) and microstructure.

Features

1. The stage is located above the objective lens, allowing for the placement of larger or heavier metal samples, avoiding observation errors caused by sample weight in traditional upright microscopes; it is usually equipped with bright field, dark field, and polarized light illumination systems, and some high-end models support image acquisition and analysis functions, facilitating the recording and quantification of microstructure parameters.

2. Specifically designed for inorganic materials such as metals, while ordinary biological microscopes are mostly used for observing organic samples such as cells and microorganisms.

3. The inverted structure is adapted to the physical characteristics of metal samples (such as high hardness and heavy weight), while biological microscopes focus on convenient observation of light and thin samples.
